These arrangements do not provide the same separation between supply and load. Identify the required winding arrangement explicitly. An electrostatic shield is a separate design feature. An autotransformer shares a winding connection and therefore does not provide that separation, even when the voltage ratio is identical. - **Will it stabilize a fluctuating supply voltage?**: A fixed-ratio isolation transformer generally follows input-voltage changes.
